A counsellor with a diploma in psychotherapy, Sugandha Ramkumar has been working as a psychotherapist for a decade. After completing her graduation in Education with specialisation in child psychology and methods of primary education, she did her post-graduation in History. She is a trained Montessorian and has completed a one-year extensive course in Montessori methodology from Calcutta Montessori and Teachers Training Centre.
She is associated with CARING MINDS, a super speciality mental health facility in Kolkata, as a visiting counsellor and trainer. She was a visiting faculty at J. D. Birla College of home science, teaching soft skills and personality development. She was a regular visiting faculty at Seafarers Educational Trust, and Mercantile Marine Academy, conducting training sessions for seafarers on interpersonal skills, communication, stress and crisis management. She has also conducted workshops at Anglo eastern Ship Management for their officers on human resource management, and conducted sessions on Relationship Management, Suicide and Depression for the Indian Army at Deolali, Maharastra.
Currently, she is the principal of I CAN FLYY, an institute for special needs individuals. She is also the student supervisor & co-ordinator of CAFÉ I CAN FLYY which is a part of the initiative to empower special needs individuals.
