Swati Sarawagi has been involved in the field of education for over 15 years as a teacher in Singapore and India. An alumnus of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she has an M.A. in Psychology and a Masters in Education, JCU, Australia. She moved from Singapore to Kolkata to start Swarnim International School in 2016. The school is a proposed CBSE co-ed school from pre-primary to Class 12, catering to 2500 students.
She is the Territory Head, Kolkata of the Early Childhood Association (India) and member of the Association for Early Childhood Educators (Singapore). She is also a member of the School Managing Committee of The Heritage School, Kolkata and a member of the Board of Governors of Heritage College, Kolkata.
A gold medallist in ISC from La Martiniere, she is on the committee of the FICCI Ladies Organisation and is a member of the CII IWN. She is blessed with 2 sons who made her question the education system as it exists and pushed her into its reform in whatever way possible.
